The name of the restaurant "GANDIÇO", is a homage to the Arguinas. They were the men who worked the stone, masons, natives of Santa Ovaia (parish where our hotel is). They created a dialect of their own so that they could talk to each other without their bosses noticing what they were saying. "Gandiço" that means "food" in this dialect. Giving the name Gandiço to our restaurant is a way of honoring these natural men of our land. The arguments and their work are present in the decoration of our restaurant, in a set of pictures displayed on a wall of our room.
